Man Stabbed To Death In Enfield As Police Investigate

A man has been stabbed to death in a block of flats and police have launched a murder investigation.

Police were called at 7.28pm yesterday (March 1) to a critically injured man, 66, in the communal area of some flats in Lockhart Close, Enfield.

The 66-year-old was found with stab injuries by police and members of the London Ambulance Service, but was pronounced dead at the scene.

Enquiries are underway to inform his next of kin as Detective Chief Inspector Laura Nelson sought to reassure Enfield residents.

DCI Nelson said: “I know that local people will be extremely concerned by this tragic incident, and I can assure them that dedicated detectives are investigating.

“We will do everything possible to find whoever was responsible for this killing,” she added.
